Day 23, February 7

Your house is still drying.

In the meantime, I thought you might need a reminder of why you're moving here (lest the chaos of packing entices you to stay in Roanoke):

(This is only a mediocre sunset.  They get much more beautiful & colorful in the summer.)

Here's another reason to move:

Keep packing!  Don't lose hope!

Day 14/15, January 29/30

Hard to believe it's only been 2 weeks (not all of them work days) and you already have half a house!  These pictures were taken over the weekend.  The last few days here were a balmy 50ish degrees -we think the guys took some time off for a vacation.  Wednesday there was a rather ill-equipped inspector nosing around (no boots, paperwork seemed a mess) briefly.

I thought it was great to see the windows and hole for the slider.  Looks like it's going to be a sunny and open basement.

On Tuesday, they put up the walls, put a solid cover on the top, and put a couple heaters inside.  According to Andy and Frank, they're drying and settling everything so that the floor can be poured.  Still no one working today.  Owen wakes up every day and looks outside.  He's depressed this week!

You're blocking our view!
